Welcome to The Merryweather Artist, the studio of UK artist and printmaker Dehlia Barnard-Edmunds, based near Peterborough, Lincolnshire.
I create original hand-pulled linocut prints, reduction lino prints, multi-block prints and collage artwork, inspired by the British countryside, nature, gardens, wildlife, still life and the everyday things I notice around me. I like to convey the quiet calm I feel in my rural surroundings. My work begins with drawing, whether made on a walk or cycle ride, from a still life arrangement at home, or while exploring somewhere new.
I love the character and unpredictability of handmade printmaking. Each print is carved, inked and printed by hand, creating artwork with the subtle variations and marks that make an original print unique. Alongside linocut, I also enjoy exploring screen printing, drypoint and collage, including still life collages made entirely from papers created while cleaning my printmaking tools.
Original Linocut Prints & Collage Artwork
My collection includes original linocut prints, limited-edition relief prints, botanical and nature-inspired artwork, still life prints and collages, as well as an ongoing series of small black-and-white travel prints made on my Adana Eight/Five press.
The landscape around my home on the Lincolnshire/Cambridgeshire border is a continuing source of inspiration. Gardens, allotments, wildlife, old vessels, rural landscapes and the changing seasons all find their way into my work. I also enjoy capturing places I have visited, turning sketches and memories of my travels into small handmade prints.

Printmaking Workshops near Peterborough
Alongside my own printmaking practice, I run small-group printmaking workshops in Market Deeping, near Peterborough, where I share my love of traditional printmaking in a friendly and relaxed studio environment.
Workshops include lino printing, reduction lino printing, multi-block printing, jigsaw lino printing and drypoint, with sessions suitable for those new to printmaking as well as people looking to develop their existing skills.
My workshops are practical, hands-on and focused on enjoying the process of creating an original handmade print.
Exhibitions & Studio
I regularly exhibit my work at exhibitions and art events across the UK, and occasionally open my home studio to the public.
