Description
This charming little print of Normanton Church, Rutland Water is just one of a continuing series documenting travels to places I have visited.
Rutland Water was created in the seventies when the village of Normanton was flooded to form the reservoir. The iconic church is all that remains sitting at the water’s edge.
It is a wonderful destination to go for a walk . You can walk or cycle all the way round it, or sail on it, or like me, sit by it and sketch.
This original hand carved and handprinted linocut print captures the charm of the church, with one of the many nearby sheep looking on adding a somewhat quirky touch.
Each print has been printed using my old Adana Press onto quality paper with oil based inks. Every print has been signed and editioned by me. It is a small edition of only fifty and would suit any room in your home.
